This award-winning painting shows the opening into what once was a residence in Pisac, Peru, an archaeological site in the Sacred Valley. Notice the holes in the colorful, dry-stack stone walls on either side of the opening for tying up doors. The small rectangular alcove in the wall within this residence must have been a place to store things. Did you find the small red flower on the ground beneath the alcove? Come on up the steps and into this ancient abode!
