This is an abstraction of the monument on the highest peak of Cape Horn, at the bottom of South America in Chile. The winds and weather are fierce here (but we were fortunate to be able to land and walk up to). This monument celebrates the albatross and commemorates all the lives that have been lost navigating this small, dangerous, extreme area of the world. Hint: can you see the albatross head in the painting?
