A river canyon in Jasper National Park in Canada provided the inspiration for this dramatic landscape watercolor painting. The rocks were large and colorful; the roar of the white-capped rapids contrasted with a clear blue-green water, and the evergreen coniferous forest and trees lent a calm to this active nature scene.
